Youth Shooting Skills in Partnership with NL Wildlife Division

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The St. John's Rod and Gun Club is proud to announce that we will be partnering once again with the Department of Fisheries and Land Resources to host the 2019 Youth Hunting Skills Event at the club on Saturday July 27, 2019.  This is a full day event starting at 9am and concluding at 4pm.

The day will consist of stations including:  Rifle Shooting; Clay Target Shooting; Archery; Fly Fishing; and Outdoor Survival. 

No prior experience necessary! This is a great way to introduce youth to hunting/outdoor/shooting skills in a safe, controlled environment with qualified instructors and volunteers, prior attendees are absolutely encouraged to return and further enhance their outdoor skills. 

Important notes:

Ages 12-17.Fee for this event is $10 per youth which includes lunch. Lunch for parent/guardian is available for $5.

All youth participating in the event MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All Firearms, equipment, safety equipment and ammunition is provided for this event.

This event takes place outdoors rain or shine, please wear clothing and footwear suitable for weather of the day. Fly spray & sunscreen are recommended as well. 

Event starts at 9am, attendees need to be onsite at 8:30am to sign in.

Pre-Registration is required for this event, space is limited to 50 participants. Please contact sandyryan@hotmail.com to pre-register for this event.
